About Westford

The town of Westford, which was first settled in 1653, is located about 40 miles north of Boston which offers easy access to all of the attractions that make New England special; the city of Boston, the Atlantic Seacoast and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Westford is a highly desired and special community prized for it’s excellent school system, arts and recreation and local lakes and beaches. Westford is physically a beautiful town with rolling hills, lakes and apple orchards. Originally Westford was noted for it’s farms and woolen mills, but today it is mostly a bedroom community with an emphasis on high technology companies. Westford is home to many well known companies including Red Hat, Samsung, HydroDot and is the home of the North American headquarters of Puma. Today, Westford’s agricultural past has given way to rapidly expanding high technology industries, suburban retail, and upper-middle class residential areas.
